Freelance graphic designer with an undying adoration for classic films (Film Noir in particular) and Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. I do not pretend to be an expert on either subject, but I’ll be happy to talk to you for ages about both.
Over the years, this blog has evolved with my interests and I’m still not quite sure where I would like it to end up. But I discovered a love for blogging and whole new group of incredible friends I hope to retain.
The title “NoirGirl” is homage to the collection of films made in Hollywood in the 1940’s and 50’s that came to be known as “film noir.” They are characterized by double crossing dames, detectives wearing fedoras and long trench coats, and lots of shadows that are used to their full advantage on the black and white film. I wish I could be part of that world.
