Snood Perfection for the Unconvinced

If my dual tutorials (1, 2) have not been enough to convince you, my dear readers, of snood excellence, I present a final piece of imagery: the beautiful and talented Beth Riesgraf in the most recent episode of Leverage.

As Parker, Beth dons a gorgeous range of outfits – sweaters from Anthropologie, hats of all descriptions, blouses with peter pan collars and sometimes even fluffy feathered dresses, but the black lace snood and matching dress above are my favorites by far.

It also helps that Beth wore this outfit for perhaps the most “classic Parker” moment of this season:

ELIOT: Did you take a bite of all these?
PARKER: Well, I had to see which one I wanted.

**a big thank you to and for screencapping the episode so meticulously**

  1. Yes! I LOVED her in this episode. So glad someone else appreciates her look as much as I do. :)

  2. Hi Laura! Heehee, whenever my family watches Leverage, I do nothing but spout on and on about Parker’s amazing outfits. I’m happy to find a kindred fashion spirit myself! :D

I’ve one little question that’s not been answered anywhere as of yet. I absolutely love snoods, my strands of my hair fall out quickly after an hour, and after three hours, I might as well not be wearing one as most of it’s escaped through the net. My hair is about an inch longer than my natural waist, so length shouldn’t be a problem that I can see….. Is there something I can do to fix this? Repeatedly taking off the snood simply to put the hair back in get dull quickly…..

*laughing* Parker is a endless wealth of hilarity and unique, perfect character. Or insanity…..

I don’t know if you’ll see this, Gracie, because I’m coming to the party months late, but what I do is buy a cheap hairnet in a similar color to my hair and put that on first (with a few pins for security), then I pin the snood on top of it. I haven’t had any problems with hair escaping yet, and it actually makes arranging the snood a lot easier since the hair is already contained. :)

Thank you so much!! And it’s fine – I posted this long after anyway. But gramercy – I love wearing snoods and it would make it simpler to not have to reset it every few hours (and although my hair doesn’t fall out when I pin curl it, it defeats the purpose of pincurling it….)
