Freelance graphic designer with an undying adoration for classic films (Film Noir in particular) and Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. I do not pretend to be an expert on either subject, but I’ll be happy to talk to you for ages about both.
This blog began as an effort for me to stay in touch with people I thought I couldn’t live without. As it happens, I can – but in the process, I discovered a love for blogging and whole new group of incredible friends I hope to retain.
The title “NoirGirl” is homage to the collection of films made in Hollywood in the 1940′s and 50′s that came to be known as “film noir.” They are characterized by double crossing dames, detectives wearing fedoras and long trench coats, and lots of shadows that are used to their full advantage on the black and white film. I wish I could be part of that world.
